FIFA World Cup 2022
The FIFA World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar, and the qualifying process will determine the 31 teams that will qualify. The host nation receives an automatic spot, but other qualified nations have to play in the event if they want to qualify. In addition, the host nation will receive a bid for the tournament, thereby ensuring that Qatar will be one of the hosts. This is the first time the world cup will be held in Qatar.
The draw for the group stages of the World Cup will take place on April 1, 2022 in Doha, Qatar. The draw will feature 32 teams divided into eight groups of four. AFC and CAF have four or five teams in the World Cup finals, while CONCACAF and CONEMBOL each have two or three teams. OFC, meanwhile, have zero or one team. After this draw, the 32 nations will be seeded according to their UEFA Nations League rankings, and two of them will have a place in the play-offs.
Despite the poor start to the tournament, the United States has a talented and deep squad. They reached the semifinals of the 2018 World Cup and were knocked out by Ireland and Portugal. With the talent they have on their team and a coach who has been in charge for a few years, it's not surprising that their chances are good. Besides that, the country has nationalized some of their players, so there's always a chance that the squad will make the knockout rounds.
